I've been asked to post the following:
Current discussions among the Covenant Christian women regarding women’s councils have the potential to impact Covenant Christian men, and our broader community.
As such, we, a group of Covenant Christian women, thought it advisable to gather data about mens’ opinions on these topics and discussions.
We recognize these issues will ultimately be left to the women to decide, but we believe male voices ought to be an important consideration.
We would appreciate input from any and all Covenant Christian men.
There is important context to consider before you begin the survey. You will also be required to give your word that you are a man, and that you will only fill the survey out once.
Aside from those two procedural questions, all other questions are optional.
There is an area to express additional thoughts or concerns not addressed by the written questions at the end of each short section.
The survey will close October 10th, 2025 at 11:59 PM. Please submit your response before then.
Thank you in advance for your time. This data will help us understand the point of view of those who are arguably most heavily affected by women’s councils.
The link requires a sign in to a Google account to access the survey. Can that setting be adjusted so those few weirdos who don't have a Google account tied to everything can participate?

Thanks for pointing this out. I checked with the survey organizers, and it's not set to require google login. I tried it on a browser that definitely wasn't logged into google and it seems to work. So I'm not sure why you're seeing that behavior.
DeleteThis is from my husband: "I think this is sounding a lot like the LDS church, who take surveys to point the direction they should go. We don't want to follow the ideas and opinions of 'men'. We simply want to look to the Lord and to His authorized servant whom the Lord speaks through."
ReplyDeletejjkrambule, I expressed similar sentiments in my responses to the survey. Why isn't the Lord's direction enough? Why do we need non-prophet mortals to add and clarify what the Lord is saying and then use their additions as movement wide guidelines? What is going on with this "movement".?
DeleteMy questions: Who is putting this survey out there? Why do we have to continue on with this discord when the Lord has already given clear instructions? I am grieved!
ReplyDeleteComments here, and others I have received privately, have expressed dismay that we find ourselves in this current situation as a movement.
ReplyDeleteI think it might be useful to re-read this post I wrote in February, 2023 (well before this current issue began).

I wrote a bit some months ago on this: https://atbmblog.blogspot.com/2025/04/womens-councils-final-exam.html
ReplyDeleteI appreciate Janeen and Steve's comments. Jeff and I have had the same thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWe listened to Denvers talk at the Philippine conference and I was once again struck by the simplicity of our Lord's gospel. The talk was simple, reassuring, and pointed us in the direction we ought to be going. The artwork was amazing as well.
I had read Adrians post from Feb 2023 previously but took the time to read it again. I appreciated the background that was laid to help point out issues that we are facing currently. I sincerely hope and pray that we can seek the Lord in all things. The gospel isn't complicated. I think the challenge is we seem to want to get in our own way and complicate things that don't need complication. My goal is to become uncomplicated by repenting of my many misconceptions and "fix" me by repenting and truly seeking our Lord. Then I don't need to worry about what others are doing or not doing. ( it lowers my stress level as well)
