The Stick of Joseph in the Hand of Ephraim: Now Available!

And it shall come to pass that my people which are of the house of Isra’el shall be gathered home unto the lands of their possessions, and my word also shall be gathered in one. And I will show unto them that fight against my word, and against my people who are of the house of Isra’el, that I am Elohim, and that I covenanted with Avraham that I would remember his seed for ever.
—2 Nefi 12:10

Happy Chanukah!

Today is Joseph Smith’s birthday. I’m very pleased to report that today is also the day The Stick of Joseph in the Hand of Ephraim became available for print-on-demand ordering and electronic download.

As I wrote in a previous blog post, “This is an epic moment in human history. This is the sign our Lord said would tell us the Father’s work has already commenced. This is the beginning of the fulfillment of the covenants to the fathers.” Though the Gentile version of this text has been available, and largely ignored and abused for over 190 years, the text itself always made it clear from the beginning that its purpose and destiny was to go to the scattered remnants of the house of Israel.

Joseph Smith explained the title of the book in a letter to Stephen Post on September 17, 1838:
As to the Stick of Joseph in the hand of Ephraim, I will merely say suppose yourself to be an Ephraimite, and suppose all this church to be of the blood of Ephraim, and the Book of Mormon to be a record of Manasseh which would of course [be a re]cord of Joseph, Then suppose you being an Ephraimite, should take the record of Joseph in your hand; would not then the Stick of Joseph be in the hand of Ephraim. solve this mystery and se[e] [spelling and punctuation updated].
If you visit www.stickofjoseph.info, you’ll find the following:

  • Print-on-demand copies are now available for order, and can be in your hands within a few days.
  • A downloadable PDF is available for immediate download.
  • There are a couple of blog posts I highly recommend you read: Announcement (which deals with the unique timing of this release), and Chanukah and The Stick of Joseph: “A Great Miracle Happened There” (which reveals the link between the Stick of Joseph and Chanukah observance.)

The leather-bound versions that were pre-ordered are now in production and should be available this spring. Thank you for your patience as this book was being prepared for publication. Many volunteers worked countless hours to make this available. To God be the glory.
